Have you ever been licked by a cat? You know how it’s so rough, but you kinda like it? That’s how the Colgate 360 toothbrush feels. Sheryl got me a green one at the store the other day, and I broke it out of its package last night for the first time. (Yes, I brushed my teeth on the other days, just with a plain, old toothbrush.)
I wanted the Colgate 360 because I saw an ad that showed its really cool silicone grips. I missed the part about the cat’s tongue. The head of the toothbrush is pretty complex in its own right, but when I put it in my mouth it felt like I hadn’t gotten all the packaging removed. The back of the brush was rubbing the inside of my mouth like a cat’s tongue. (No, I’ve never been Frenched by a cat.) I looked, couldn’t see anything, and started again. Cat’s tongue.
What I figured out (Elementary, my dear Watson) was that on the back of the brush is the Colgate version of a cat’s tongue. Bristles. They rub against the sides of your mouth while you brush and are supposed to make your whole mouth clean. Plus, the bristles can be used to scrape the gunk off your tongue. Strange, but it really works.
I have to say that on first pass the thing was a little weird. But I got used to it, and my teeth are sparkly white this morning. I’m 360 clean!
