One Laptop Per Child Arrived

OLPC

See that? It’s one of the first One Laptop Per Child machines delivered in the U.S. And that’s at my house.

The laptop is amazing; the OLPC program is even more so.

I’m checking out the functionality. It’s got a word processors, 12-hour battery, internet connectivity, music authoring, etc. Here’s a list of the software.

If you want to participate in the Give One, Get One program, it’s still open. We’re going to give this one to a deserving child in Philadelphia.

Isn’t that amazing? It shows what can happen when people really will it to be! That’s fabulous!
