Sarcasmom…I was raised by a bit of a chauvinist…a Chicago Cop. So…only the boys could lift things. And my dad never understood that I couldn’t lift things like a grown man. I have the surgery scar to prove the injury. ;-0

Howard, that’s the kind of boss that makes us not want to work again…especially when we’re young. Ugh. But it builds character is what my dad said. If that’s so, I’m Socrates.

One of my girls swears that my husband made her bear the weight of an upright freezer as they moved it up from the basement when she was about 13. I think that the story has become a bit exaggerated over time.Their father never treated them differently because they were female. But sometime he forgot they were kids.
