Tomato Sandwiches

Man, I think I might need to go outside and pluck a ripe tomato from the vine again. Here’s a picture of the first tomato sandwiches of the year. (Had a little cheese and mayo, too.)

  • I just pulled in another one. And there are at least 30 other tomatoes out there on 5 different kinds of heirloom plants.

  • That's why you're the Thinman and I'm the Fatman...it's all about the cheese! I do like them plain, I must say. This is going to be my tomato summer.

  • They are definitely taking a long time. Even when they start with some color, they still need some more time on the vine. I guess it'll be late August before I really see some larger crops instead of these coming one-by-one.
  • Outstanding! Is it my imaginatin or are the tomatoes taking a little longer on the vine to ripen this year?
