Well, another [year has flown by, one bites the dust, Christmas letter that you can make fun of]. We’re all getting [older, more beautiful, increasingly boring] and hopefully a little [wiser, funnier, drunker].

A Week Off
I don’t know what to do with myself. I have a week off. The whole week. Which means that I’ll just do a few hours of work a day from the comfort of my favorite chair. Then I’ll take a nap. I might follow that up with another micro-nap. Ah, the comforts of time off.
Do You Want an Honest Answer?
Is there ever a good thing to come when someone, when asked a question, says, “Do you want an honest answer?”
Ba-da-boom. The rest of the answer is never what the questioner wants. Oops.
One of the Best Stories Ever
Ah, the things a guy will do when he’s 16 and his friend says, “Let’s take my dad’s car for a spin.” This story by my buddy Rich Mennenoh, The Tuna, really cracks me up. The last sentence is the clincher.

Hi, it's me, the guy whose name is at the top of the page. I'm the grinning dude in the middle of many of these pictures. Those are my boys Dan, Matt, and Steve. They're taller than me now, and take every chance to show me. What can I say? I'm shrinking. Sheryl puts up with all of us. She's been known to say "Boys!" from time to time.-
