Those of you who know me well know that the comedian Stephen Wright had one of my favorite phrases, which I say at least 4 or 5 times a week: Hard work pays off in the long run, but laziness pays off immediately. For some reason that cracks me up. (Perhaps because it’s so close to the truth.) Now today I read this quote from Soren Kierkegaard that substantiates the point: Far from idleness being the root of all evil, it is rather the only true good.
I’m the world’s foremost collector of laziness and idleness quotes. Maybe I’ll get around to finding and organizing them tomorrow.

Seems to me that the real point of hard work is to clear your schedule to get some down time (and be lazy).
What Merci said!
Oh they joy of being lazy … life could be a dream, especially when you nap!
Reminds me of that Garfield strip (I think) where Jon gets mad at Garfield for something and says, “If you can say anything LAZIER than that, I'll pay you a dollar!”
Garfield replies, “Just go ahead and slip that dollar in my pocket for me.”
Mark, I'll add that to my list. LOL!
It is a joy, Pax and Merci. How true. And a nap…my favorite friend.
