Good Business in a Bad Economy

by Frank Roche on January 24, 2009

Our business, iFractal, continues to grow in this bad economy. We’ve been interviewing people and are hiring. Know why? We planned for this a year ago. In bad economies, companies need to do more communication than ever. We know HR communications.

We’re lucky. I’m happy about that.

I know of an outstanding graphic designer who was ecently laid off. Let me know if you have any job opportunities or free lance work and I'll pass it on.

Luck has very little to do with planning, execution and the willingness to take risks.

You guys (Sarah, guys being a generic term of course) rock.

Thanks, Rick. Something we're doing is working…it is the value of hard work!

It strikes me that you provide a suite of services that is dramatically underutilized in any economy. You guys are in a line of work for which the benefit increases as times get tougher, which is why the smart companies reach out to companies like yours in times like this.

(just my two cents as a communications junkie — congrats on the continued growth)

Howard, you have that exactly right. When times get tough, smart companies get communicating. And you know that business in spades. Thanks for the good wishes…we feel grateful that we're doing well…and realize that there are plenty of people who, by no fault of their own, are not.

Frank you are not lucky, you are good. Good things happen to good people even in bad times. Keep it up my friend, perhaps Obama will be calling on you!! My advice would be not to answer the phone if Blagojevich calls!
