I was walking by Kitchen Kapers on 17th Street on Thursday and looked in for some reason. There was Duff Goldman from Ace of Cakes. He was there to promote his book. I got this picture, which, embarrassingly, I asked Willie Goldman, the co-author, to snap. Oops.
They were cool. I really dig these guys. Matt told me recently that he’d like to have one of their cakes for an event. We’ll have to work on that.

I love that show! I think the cakes start at $500. Make it a big event.
A friend of mine called recently to get one for a big event: $1,000 minimum. I confirmed that on their site. And they're super backed up. Very cool business…I cheer them on.
I could use a little cake about now. Also love the show.
