Snickers the Wonder Dog and I were the first to take a walk this morning. The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow/ Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below. (Nah, I just wanted to say that. Sheryl has never worn a kerchief, nor I a cap, to bed.)
Actually, Snickers the Wonder Dog, for being a Lab, could do without the snow. You can see her tail wagging in the picture, but her eyes are squinted. She got her business over quickly this morning. Thank goodness. By the time we got back to the house I had an ice cream headache from the wind and the cold.

I'm guessing since you're from Chicago I better take that cold advisory to heart.
Planning on the 5 block walk to Local 44 this afternoon.
It was because the wind is blowing the snow at a 45-degree angle, where the snow melted and then refroze on my forehead. Yeah, I'd say it's reasonably cold out there. Heading over to the Local 44…you'll warm up there. Just would never want to be that Penn student last year who froze do death on a street corner after a bunch of drinks. Remember that? It was nuts.
Beautiful, a vision of things to come in Boston. At least we will all have a white Christmas! Enjoy the snow and don't have all the fun yourself of shoveling out the driveway. Make sure those fine strapping young men in the house get to enjoy the shoveling ritual!
Mark, the funny thing is there's only one young dude in the house. The brothers are finishing school this coming week and will be home on Monday…so, it'll be quite a digout. We haven't even started…I figured there was no sense with the wind howling, we'd end up shoveling twice. I figured I'd let it sit.
Yep, there will be a White Christmas…I can hear Der Bingle singing already.
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
