Snickers the Wonder Dog Turns 5

SnickersOur little girl, Snickers the Wonder Dog, is 5 years old today. I can remember like it was yesterday when Sheryl brought her home. She was just a little ball of white fur. Five years later, she’s still a puppy at heart. She still sleeps in our bed at night. She follows Sheryl around *everywhere*.

Every night at around 8:30 or 9:00, she goes and gets her toys one-by-one and brings them to Sheryl. Toys get tossed for a while and then Snicky hops up on the couch to curl up with her “mother.”

We were going to breed her this year. Nearly everyone we knew wanted a little Wonder Dog. But her hips were bad, so we spayed her a few months ago. Anyways, we’re lucky to have her. Other than the hips, she’s in super good health and we expect many more birthdays for our little girl.

  • Dee, lol, not bad for a dog, huh? She's really fantastic, and even though she sits by the kitchen table when we eat, she never begs. (She has been known to drool every once in a while.) I was at a client dinner last night, but I'm going to guess if specially cooked steak and eggs were for breakfast that dinner was something good too.

Merci and Pinky Bear...thanks! Funny celebrating a dog's birthday, but she is a real member of the family. (Not in that creepy, I have 150 cats, kind of way. We just like her.)

I'll pat her head and rub her belly. That's what she wants for her birthday. Don't we all?
  • Awww! She's so pretty!! Happy Birthday, Snickers!!
  • Happy Birthday, Snickers! Enjoy every moment of the day!

    Happy birthday, Snickers!

The steak and eggs sounds like a perfect birthday breakfast! What's for supper?
  • Hey, that's some beautiful Italian. I'll pass that on to the wonder dog. She got steal and eggs this morning, plus an extra long walk. Lucky girl!
  • Snickers, what a yummy name! She is beautiful!
  • Fuccha bella, as my grandmother might have said.

    Happy Birthday Snickers!!!
