Barack Obama Mural in Philly

by Frank Roche on October 29, 2008

There’s a new Barack Obama mural on Walnut Street in Philly. People are lining up to have their picture taken in front of it. We did too. Here’s a series of three pictures we took on the day that the Phillies are going for the World Series win.

It's in the window of the UBIQ store, which is at 1509 Walnut. It's worth a visit.

Do you know there was another Obama mural done in North Philadelphia ON HOPE STREET in the Latino Community…. go to http://lasgallas.blogspot.com/2008/11/las-galla

The mural was a complete collaborative effort with the community helping clean up the empty lot and helping paint the mural designed by Philadelphia muralist Michelle Ortiz (http://www.michelleangela.com)
