Hello, Mr. President

President Barack Obama. Those words were presaged four years ago when I met Barack Obama in person in Philadelphia. I captioned the photo below with a story of something that happened that took our breath away then:

He just leaned down because a woman asked him to “sign my baby.” She said, “I want her to meet the first black president of the United States.”

Hello, Mr. President. We knew that more than four years ago that we’d say that to you.

  • I give you alot of credit for being behind Obama so early. Let's all enjoy today and it's a big job starting tomorrow.
  • It's pretty amazing...I know many will poke at this, but there really was something. And it was an amazing moment. You bet, we have a big job ahead. The hope part, as you said, moves to doing something. I'm with you.
  • Frank, it's such an exciting time, isn't it?

Oh come on, Frank has always been a sage, a man before his time, a trailblazer. Heck, he even guessed that the Chevy Vega would be a huge success .....OOPS!

Glad to have the inauguration behind us. Though I did not vote for Obama, he is now my president and he will be in my prayers. He has a tough job ahead of him and having spent the last week in Israel, I can tell you the world is watching.
  • Must have been really intense to have been in Israel last week. Wow.

You have the right idea, my friend...we all need to pull together to make this work. I think partisanship is gonna go, and we're going to pull together. I like that idea.

    Vega....lol. Frank Edsel Roche.
