We’re going up to NYC to visit Matt for Parent’s Weekend at NYU. Of course, with my Irish luck, there’s a Nor’easter. On top of that, one thing Matt really wanted to do was see the Yankees play in the ALCS. We have tickets for Saturday night, when it’s supposed to be raining an inch an hour and the wind is supposed to be blowing 35 mph.
Well, we’ll see. Tonight we’re going to my favorite Italian restaurant in NYC, what was formerly Da Antonio’s.
More when I get there.

Bundle up and go to the game! You can't beat playoff baseball. The bad weather is part of what makes it so amazing.
I have all my warm weather gear. It'll be odd seeing the Yankees…but how cool it'll be…and you're right about the weather.
Yes, watching the Yankees is something akin to watching Walmart roll over
mom and pop shops in small towns, but the experience of playoff baseball in
that new stadium should be pretty amazing. Of course, it is still American
League baseball, which I find repugnant.
That's a cool treat — Yankees playoff ball. I think I'd relish the opportunity to go and root for the Angels, no matter what the weather
I've heard the new stadium is amazing, according to my one friend at work who scored tickets to the weekend series against the Phillies last spring.
Parents weekend for college? That just aint right. This calls for my annual fall viewing of Animal House.
