Angel, by Sarah McLachlan, is one of my all time favorite songs. Funny how songs mean different things at different times. Right now, it’s about healing.

Okay, I admit it, I watch Dancing with the Stars. And I’m glad I did, because I got to see Marie Osmond pass out and crumple like a paper rose in a rainstorm. Check out how people laugh when she faints, like she’s the Chevy Chase of dancing.

Hotter Than July

Okay, I looked for Stevie Wonder’s “Hotter Than July” because it’s hotter than July here in Philadelphia. I couldn’t find it. But I did find this video of Ray Charles and Stevie doing “Living for the City.” This is one of the best videos I’ve ever seen. And those two are cool enough by themselves to chill Philadelphia on a smoldering August day.

Across the Great Divide

I love this song by Nanci Griffith (accompanied by Emmylou Harris). I think it’s perfect for the transition from iFlipFlop to here. In some ways that’s a great divide…I wrote on iFlipFlop for almost 3 years. But I’ve had this name a *lot* longer, so let’s see how this works out.
